I Think I Am Officially OLD!

During the World Series my husband and I stayed up late watching the games. Several things about the World Series made me feel old. First, it is oh-so-true that I am unable to stay up late and then get up six hours later. Next, almost all the players on the Cubs are younger than me, and the few over 35 are “close to retirement.” When did most professional athletes being younger than me happen?
I remember when I found out I was pregnant with my son, my mom told me that life would start to fly by, and one day I would wake up with an empty nest. Thanks, Mom! I was barely pregnant with my first child and was already worried about being an empty nester. Now I totally see what she was talking about. Recently I sat in on an interview, and as I was telling the interviewee a little about myself, I said I had two kids who were two and four. The other person sitting in on the interview looked at me and started to laugh. At that moment I realized my error, since I actually have a four-year-old and a six-year-old. I’m not sure the exact cause of my time loss, but it just might be…old age.
Did you realize we are less than a week from Thanksgiving, six Sundays away from Christmas, and seven Sundays away from 2017? That means we have only 43 days left in 2016. Wow!
