- Update Rollup 11 is Cumulative for the following components:
- CRM Server
- CRM Email Router
- CRM SRS Connector
- Update Rollup 11 for the CRM client can be deployed independently from the Server rollup

- After applying Update Rollup 11, you must delete the temporary internet files in Internet Explorer
Please review the following Microsoft documentation at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981328, for more details regarding the fixes included in this rollup. As is the case with any patch deployment, please review the documentation and perform the proper testing and planning before deploying this Rollup to your production environment.
Update Rollup 11 Build Number: 4.0.7333.2861
Key Fixes that require manual configuration:
- 981053: A workflow that contains a step to send an e-mail can cause a deadlock when many instances of the workflow execute at the same time in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
- 981837: The lookup fields are not updated when you run the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK import process to update Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
Key Fixes:
- You cannot change the order of the bit fields on the Account form and on the Contact form.
- You can assign an activity from one queue to another queue even though you do not have the privileges in your security role.
- Windows Internet Explorer crashes or stops responding when you use the Advanced Find view on a computer that is running Windows 7.
- You cannot close an opportunity if the topic of the opportunity is a null value.
- After you apply Update Rollup 7 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, you experience slow performance when you open Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Web client.
Assume that you have a phone call activity that uses a contact or an account as a recipient. After you delete the contact or the account, you cannot open the phone call activity.
- When you create a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008) report by using the new SSRS 2008 features, you cannot display the report in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
- You experience slow performance when you add many members, such as 10,000 members, into a marketing list. Additionally, you may receive a time-out error message.
- Assume that you create a report in the Report Wizard. When you run the report, you receive the following error message: An error has occurred during report processing. Query execution failed for data set 'DSMain'.
Special Considerations:
Office 2010 is currently supported by Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. However the 64-bit version of Office 2010 will not be supported.
Importing / Exporting Customizations:
As with previous updates, Update Rollup 11 supports importing / exporting customizations from and to CRM deployments with the following rollups installed: Update Rollup 2, Update Rollup 3, Update Rollup 4, Update Rollup 5, Update Rollup 6, Update Rollup 7, Update Rollup 8, Update Rollup 9, and Update Rollup 10.
If a CRM deployment does not have a rollup installed, or has Update Rollup 1 installed, you should not export / import customization from / to a system that has Update Rollup 11 installed.
CRM 4.0 Client Auto Update:
Please note that the deployment of the Client rollup can be streamlined using the CRM Auto Update feature. This feature is new to CRM 4.0, and allows updates to be pushed to the CRM clients directly without a manual installation. If you would like to discuss this feature further please contact the Wipfli CRM Team.
