Microsoft recently released the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Adapter for Microsoft Dynamics GP 10.0 (10/5/09). Wipfli particiapted in the beta along with one of our customers earlier this year (see blog post from 9/4/09). The Adapter is available for FREE for any customers of Dynamics CRM and Dynamcis GP that are current on their Support plans for both - and orders can be placed through Partners.

Our customers have run into issues tracking specific emails in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 Outlook Client and receive a misleading error: The text entered exceeds the maximum length. Upon further review, the root cause of this issue can be addressed by updating the messageid attribute on the MCRM Email entity.

Workflow in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is a huge step forward from 3.0 in terms of flexibility and maintainability, as well as reducing the learning curve for the average CRM configurator. Most of my experience with it this far has been very positive; there are very few things that I've needed to do that could not be accomplished by Dynamic CRM's out-of-the-box capabilities.
