Wipfli associate earns CRISC
August 24, 2011
Tammy Wollersheim, a manager based in the Fox Cities office of Wipfli LLP, recently attained the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Certification (CRISC).
The CRISC designation, introduced in 2010, is offered by ISACA and is based on the association’s intellectual property, independent market research and the input of subject matter experts from around the world. The certification was designed for IT and business professionals who identify and manage risks through the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate information systems controls.
To earn the CRISC designation, individuals must successfully complete the CRISC exam, adhere to ISACA’s code of ethics, agree to comply with the continuing professional education policy, and submit evidence of at least three years of experience in the fields of risk management control.
Wollersheim works in the Information Technology Examination Service area for financial institutions. She has accumulated substantial experience in the financial institution industry including over 12 years as a bank regulator with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Wollersheim earned her bachelor of science degree in finance from Illinois State University. She has continued her education through the Financial Managers Association, The Institute of Internal Auditors, and other industry association seminars and courses.
