Wipfli partner Michael Bell awarded 2013 Outstanding Contribution to Rural Health honor by WRHA

, a partner in the Spokane office of Wipfli LLP, was recently honored by the Washington Rural Health Association
(WRHA) with the organization’s 2013 Outstanding Contribution to Rural Health award. The award is based on the overall contributions Bell has made to benefit rural health throughout his career.

, Spokane office managing partner. “As an expert in the rural health care industry, Michael has worked hard to improve the industry and is committed to helping his clients overcome their challenges as the industry changes on a regular basis. We are so proud he is a member of the Wipfli health care practice team.”
Bell has been working with health care organizations for more than 30 years, focusing exclusively on the health care industry by providing an array of accounting, auditing, reimbursement, and financial consulting services to a range of health care organizations from critical access hospitals to rural health clinics. Bell is cofounder and a member of the Rural Health Clinic Association of Washington, member and served for six years as the treasurer of the Washington Rural Health Association, member and former board member of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, was an advisory board member of the National Rural Health Association, and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from North Carolina State University.

We thank him for his passion and outstanding contributions to rural health.”
For the past 22 years, the Washington Rural Health Association has honored individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions in the field of rural health care. The Outstanding Contribution to Rural Health award is based on the overall contributions a nominee has made to benefit rural health. This award is for nominees who have, over the course of their careers, made significant impacts in rural health across the state of Washington.
