In the first week of December, the Madison office of Wipfli CPAs and Consultants officially opened its doors in the newly renovated Arbor Gate building at 2501 West Beltline Highway in Madison.

“This move is significant for so many reasons,” stated Jim Butler, managing partner of Wipfli’s Madison office. “In addition to giving us room for growth, it gives us the opportunity to office in a building that is a result of many individuals’ commitment to City of Madison – that commitment matches well with Wipfli’s commitment to this community.”

Wipfli has over 800 employees firmwide, with approximately 110 employees in its Madison location who will occupy 40,000 square feet in the new complex. The firm came to Madison over five years ago when it merged with the former Williams Young accounting firm. It serves a wide range of clients in the Madison market, including construction companies, manufacturing companies, financial institutions and nonprofit and government entities.

The Arbor Gate building, developed by Mortenson Investment Group (MIG), is a $55 million mixed-use development project on the east side of Todd Drive. The initiative is part of a larger revitalization project for the area, which had seen an increase in crime over the past several years. The objectives of the project include an increase in the number of jobs, amenities and quality of life in the area.
