Wipfli LLP announced today that it has created a multi-disciplinary task force to help companies navigate the current economic crisis. Wipfli’s Troubled Economy – Surviving and Thriving (TEST) task force brings together Wipfli’s top accounting, tax and consulting talent to assess a company’s strategy, vital signs and business practices to identify necessary changes to survive and thrive in today’s economy.

“In these unusual economic times, companies must validate their business models, verify their vitals, and creatively explore new opportunities and ideas,” said Jeff Greeneway, Wipfli Partner and Consulting Leader for the TEST task force. “These are not only turbulent waters, they are uncharted from what businesses have experienced in the past. Therefore, companies of all types and sizes need to look holistically at their businesses and act quickly and decisively.”

“There are opportunities in every market,” said Karen Monfre, Wipfli Partner and Financial Leader for the TEST Task Force. “Companies who make the right choices are going to be positioned to dominate their marketplace when the economic recovery arrives.”

“No one can afford to take a ‘business as usual’ approach when responding to current conditions,” said Rick Taylor, Wipfli Partner and Tax Leader for the TEST Task Force. “With proper planning, businesses can maximize the tax benefits provided to companies experiencing rough times and use the refunds and tax credits to fund urgently needed change that will put them on the path to future profitability.”

The TEST task force provides companies both breadth and depth of expertise across many industries in the areas of strategy, market analysis, financial review, tax, operations, human resource, and technology expertise. The TEST task force will present two webinars in early February to provide further insights.
