Wipfli LLP adds expertise to firm’s State and Local Tax Group

Wipfli announced today that it is expanding its State and Local Tax Group with the addition of Sean Smith as a senior consultant. In his position, Smith will be responsible for providing analysis and consulting on a variety of state and local tax issues. He will specialize in sales and use taxes.

Smith joins the firm after 14 ½ years with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. While at the Revenue Department, Smith served as a field auditor and district field audit supervisor and managed hundreds of audits.

Wipfli’s State and Local Tax Group has 120 years of combined experience among its eight members and extensive knowledge of Wisconsin and multi-state income and sales and use tax.
