On June 1, 2010, your organization is required to comply with federally mandated Red Flag Rules. The rules require you to have written programs in place to identify, detect, and respond to patterns, practices, or specific activities - known as "Red Flags" - that could indicate identity theft. These informal sessions are offered as a public service to all municipalities, to assist your organization with meeting the required rules in a timely manner and avoid federal violation and potential fines.
