Wipfli LLP, a national accounting and business consulting firm, recently announced that two of the firm’s associates recently earned the certified regulatory compliance manager (CRCM) designation. Sarah Gibbon, a senior specialist internal audit and compliance, and Ann Gonstead-Hartle, a compliance specialist, were recently awarded the certifications.

The CRCM designation is designed to establish a recognized standard of knowledge and competence for regulatory compliance professionals working in the financial services industry.

As a senior specialist based in the firm’s Wausau office, Gibbon provides a wide range of services to her financial institution clients including internal audits, loan and deposit compliance reviews and Bank Secrecy Act reviews. She has worked with Wipfli since 2010. Prior to joining Wipfli, Gibbon was a compliance officer and internal audit manager at a community bank. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Gonstead-Hartle is a compliance specialist in the firm’s Eau Claire office, where she provides a wide range of regulatory compliance services to the firm’s financial institutions clients, including loan and deposit reviews and secondary market quality control reviews. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, she held a number of positions in the banking industry including retail banking manager, security officer, community reinvestment officer, and compliance officer for a community bank with over $600 million in assets. In addition to this CRCM designation, Gonstead-Hartle holds a certified community bank compliance officer designation from the Independent Community Bankers of America.
