Greg Butler, CPA

Greg Butler is a partner in Wipfli’s Milwaukee office who holds a master’s degree in taxation. He has been providing consulting and compliance services to closely held companies since 1988. In that time, he has developed a specialized expertise in state and local tax issues in both income/franchise and sales/use taxation. This gives Greg the opportunity to provide more comprehensive tax advice and guidance to his clients that addresses a company’s federal, state, and local tax situation.

An accomplished speaker, Greg is regularly called upon to provide presentations on taxation issues. He has delivered presentations to the Tax Executives Institute, WICPA Annual State Tax Conference, Wisconsin State and Local Tax Club, and the ABA Annual Tax Conference.

Professional Organizations and Activities

Greg is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants Taxation Committee and is a past State Taxation Committee chairperson. He is also a board member of the Wisconsin State and Local Tax Club.
