Senior Manager

Lee Christensen has experience working with a variety of clients in the financial services sector:  community banks, credit unions, mortgage banking companies, and leasing entities. He is a proficient provider of assurance, tax, and consulting services for many financial institutions. 

As a chief financial officer and controller in prior years, Lee has seen complex operations and made critical business decisions from the client’s viewpoint. His understanding of how successful businesses operate and his ability to build good rapport with various levels of management and staff within our clients’ organizations are outstanding.

Throughout the audit process or during a customized consulting project, Lee leverages his knowledge and experience to dig for improvement opportunities and assess them from a business and risk standpoint. He leverages his expertise in the area of financial institution operations to deliver value beyond the compliance requirements of the financial statement audit, SEC reporting, and the directors’ examination engagements he performs.

Lee has focused exclusively on financial institutions since 1999 and is an active member of our firm’s Financial Institutions Technical Issues Committee, the SEC Technical Issues Committee, and the Quality Assurance Committee Support Team. 

Professional Organizations and Activities

Lee is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Wisconsin and Minnesota chapters.  He is licensed to practice in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.  In his free time, Lee enjoys golfing and coaching youth athletics.
