Peggy Farah
As a member of Wipfli’s Nonprofit and Government Practice, Peggy Farah works exclusively with nonprofit clients to help them optimize their impact on the communities they serve through effective and efficient business processes and ultimately high-level accountability. She uses her broad experience as a nonprofit financial leader, both as an auditor and a consultant. In her consultant role, Peggy provides interim CFO services to nonprofit organizations; assists clients with planning, implementation, and training on Sage MIP Fund Accounting and Sage Fundraising 50 software systems; and helps clients design processes to manage the flow of financial data within their organization. Peggy believes that through accountability, nonprofits can enhance their response to the communities they serve.
Prior to joining Wipfli in 2008, Peggy spent over 11 years with the American Lung Association in Minnesota (ALAMN). Her financial leadership role with the ALAMN guided the organization through periods of significant growth and change. In addition to her local responsibilities during her tenure with the ALAMN, Peggy provided training for her colleagues at the American Lung Association Nationwide Staff Conference; led Web-based training sessions; and worked as a member of a task force to improve financial reporting and accountability throughout the larger organization.
Peggy’s nonprofit auditor and consultant experiences combined with her role at the ALAMN give her a unique perspective—having acted as both auditor and auditee—at various stages of her career. She applies this knowledge for the benefit of her nonprofit clients as she guides them through the complexities of compliance and accountability.
