John Hemming possesses vast audit experience in a wide range of industries with specialized knowledge relating to nonprofit operations, especially large, multi-funded organizations with complex accounting issues. John serves Wipfli clients by helping them with the planning and completion of financial statements and OMB Circular A-133 audits.

John shares his expertise each year at Wipfli’s Annual Management Conference Grant-Funded Programs. In addition, John continually provides training sessions for existing and prospective clients throughout the United States. His training topics vary from OMB Circulars and Single Audit Act regulations to financial analysis and audit preparation. John consistently achieves exceptional ratings and feedback from training attendees.

What drives John even more than challenges of learning and applying the intricacies of nonprofit and grant-funded audit standards are the people he works with, the services he provides for them, and the outcomes achieved. “Nonprofit organizations are in the business of serving those in need,” says John, “And when I participate in helping organizations do their work better, I feel a genuine sense of accomplishment.”
