Crystal LaPlante is dedicated to providing proactive services to her clients, with emphasis on
the development and implementation of innovative and supportable tax reduction and
deferral strategies. Her client base consists entirely of businesses and individuals involved in
the construction and/or real estate development industry at both the local and national level.
Crystal is a certified public accountant who earned the Elijah Watt Sells Award, a national
honor given to the top 0.2% of those sitting for the national CPA examination for scores of
extraordinary merit. As a partner, Crystal offers Wipfli LLP clients more than 20 years of
expertise and dedication.
Crystal is chairperson of the firm’s construction and real estate taxation practice, and is a
former co-tax director of the firm. She is also the current chairperson of the firm’s Women’s
Impact Network (WIN).
Professional Organizations and Activities
An active participant in professional organizations, Crystal is on the Board of Wisconsin
Commercial Real Estate Women (WCREW) and a member of both the American and
Wisconsin Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. She is also active in community and
civic activities. She has been published in the national and local media and has presented
numerous tax seminars through the years, both in-house and for the general public.
