Tami McCann began her career as a tax specialist with Wipfli LLP in January 1988. She prides herself on actively listening to her clients, identifying their needs and then providing a custom-tailored approach for their success. Client relationships are of particular importance to Tami. She excels in her ability to communicate and coordinate team efforts with her clients’ additional advisors (legal, investment, etc.) ensuring the best possible outcome for the client.
The legislative taxation landscape is constantly changing which is why Tami continually monitors the complex and ever-changing tax laws for her closely held business and individual clients. Tami confronts these challenges by being proactive and creative with her tax planning ideas, minimizing her client’s income tax liabilities.
Professional Organizations and Activities
Tami’s extensive involvement with nonprofit organizations reflects her ongoing commitment to the community and her belief in the importance of “giving back.”
She currently serves as the treasurer for the Marathon County Library Foundation and the YWCA. She is also an active member in the Wausau Area Chamber of Commerce and Executive Women’s Group, Estate Planners Forum and is a member of the American and Wisconsin Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. Tami is a graduate of Leadership Wausau/Marathon County Class XI.
Because of her financial and tax expertise, Tami is frequently sought after to serve on community/non-profit boards and committees. Some of her past appointments include the Women’s Community, Child Care Connection, and the Wausau Area Jaycees.
An accomplished speaker, Tami has shared her tax knowledge at speaking engagements for a variety of industry and nonprofit groups.
