As an information technology audit specialist for Wipfli LLP’s Financial Institution clients, Jason Smith performs information technology examinations, risk assessments, internal controls evaluations, and consulting engagements. His goal is to help his clients tailor their environment to fit competitive advantages and risk profiles unique to their organization and their highly-regulated industry. He began his career in the banking industry in 1998 and served the financial industry for eight years in a number of roles, including lender and branch manager. He also had the opportunity to work for both national and community institutions. He culminated his financial institutions’ experience with four years as District Operations Manager for a national bank. Jason has served as an information technology audit specialist since 2006. His diverse experience has helped him become familiar with technological and regulatory environments of financial institution clients.
