Nate Wenner is a Regional Director for Wipfli Hewins Investment Advisors–the fee-only wealth management division of Wipfli LLP. With over 15 years of financial services experience, Nate has focused on comprehensive financial planning to help his clients achieve financial security and independence, and on creating income streams to meet their lifestyle needs. As a trusted advisor, he leads a team of experts including Certified Financial Planner® professionals, CPAs, Certified Investment Management Analysts, and attorneys. Together, they specialize in helping clients realize their dreams and achieve peace of mind.
Nate is consistently featured or quoted in a variety of local and national publications, radio, and TV such as the Journal of Financial Planning, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Minnesota Public Radio, Financial Planning Magazine, USA TODAY, WCCO-TV, FOX 9 news and Twin Cities Business, to name a few. Professional Organizations and Activities
Nate is the 2008 President elect of the Financial Planning Association of Minnesota. He also serves on the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In addition, Nate has been admitted to the Paladin Registry and has been awarded Paladin’s Five-Star quality designation. The registry provides free public services to investors who use financial planners and advisors.
Recently Nate was selected by the Twin Cities Business and Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine as a “Five Star Wealth Manager” best in client satisfaction. The Five Star Wealth Managers distinction is based on how actual clients evaluate their experience in working with an individual. Less than 4% of wealth managers in the Twin Cities region receive this award. In addition, Nate was named as one of 2008’s 40 under Forty by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Nate serves as part-time adjunct instructor for Minnesota State University-Mankato, teaching financial planning in the university’s Financial Planning Certificate Program. This program serves other financial professionals intending to obtain the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
