The Challenge
Northwest Trucks of Wisconsin is a medium- and heavy-duty truck dealer with six locations throughout central and west central Wisconsin. The company was looking for a service provider who could provide more in-depth audit and tax services as well as provide a broad range of consulting services.
The Strategy
Wipfli met with the client to better understand their operations as well as the specific business issues they faced. The Wipfli team then combined their knowledge of the client’s business and industry with their own expertise. Key opportunities where Wipfli's resources could provide assistance were then identified:

- A tax department that is current on the latest issues
- A commitment to meet deadlines in their tax and audit work
- Payroll processing services that would reduce administrative costs
The Results
The Wipfli dealership team of experts was able to assist the client in the addition of three business units to the client's family of businesses, ensuring a smooth transition for each. Wipfli continues to assist the dealership with improving operations, performance, and growth. The Wipfli dealership team of experts was also able to assist the client in identifying their business issues and made recommendations to alleviate their concerns:
- Identification of opportunities to save administrative costs
- Improving the accuracy of the financial reporting process
- Minimizing the exposure to certain technical tax matters
