Wausau, Wis. (June 7, 2005) - Wipfli LLP is pleased to announce that David Christianson, CPA, has been elected as the president of board of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). Christianson is the partner in charge of Wipfli’s office in La Crosse.
Christianson has been actively involved with WICPA for many years, so when the Milwaukee-based organization asked him to run, he accepted the challenge. “I am excited to be president during a time when so much is changing in our profession,” he says, adding that he is eager to promote the profession in colleges and high schools and to promote WICPA as the organization celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
Christianson is featured on the cover of the May/June 2005 issue of WICPA’s membership publication, On Balance. The feature article, “Another Career Goal,” reflects on his family and personal life as well as his 20-plus years in the profession.
“Being chosen as president of the 100-year-old organization is a tremendous honor for both Dave and Wipfli, and we sincerely appreciate Dave’s significant leadership contributions to our firm, his community, and the WICPA,” says Greg Barber, Wipfli’s managing partner. “His efforts and contributions are a model for us all.”
