Las Vegas, Nev. (June 6, 2006) — On July 10-12, 2006, senior management representing small and rural community hospitals from across the nation will convene at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for the second annual Rural and Community Hospital Symposium and Management Conference. The conference will be hosted by Wipfli LLP, a consulting firm serving clients across the nation with over 70 health care experts on staff. Wipfli is offering free registration to facilities affected by Hurricane Katrina in an effort to help the area rebuild its health care practices through education. Facilities that qualify for the free registration offer include hospitals that remain closed today, those that have reopened but are not yet at full capacity, and those that have seen an increase in patients due to damage at other area facilities.
During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from many of Wipfli’s experts in informative, interactive sessions. The workshops cover all areas within a hospital that are not performing as well as they could be and take a very hands-on approach to learning. As a result, CEOs, CFOs, trustees, and senior leadership will enhance their knowledge on topics such as building the right culture, service line strategic planning, developing balanced scorecards, risk assessment, and facility planning and financing. Those attending the conference can earn continued professional education (CPE) credits for their participation in the various workshops.
According to Charlie Myers of Banner Churchill Hospital in Fallon, Nev., Wipfli’s 2005 Rural and Community Hospital Symposium and Management Conference was “more valuable than any other conference I have attended in the past because it all tied together.”
Register now or call Sylvia Weise at (715) 858-6631 for more information. If you are unsure of whether your facility qualifies for free registration, please contact Sylvia.
Facilities unaffected by Hurricane Katrina are more than welcome to attend, as well. The rate is $695/person. (Price breaks are available for organizations sending at least two attendees.)
