Manager

Karin Schuman is a manager in the revenue integrity and optimization service line of Wipfli’s healthcare practice. She has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in coding, compliance, clinical documentation and reimbursement for multispecialty physician practices, Rural Health Clinics (RHC), Federally Qualified Health Clinics (FQHC) and Critical Access Hospitals (CAH). She also has worked on the payor side as a recovery specialist in fraud investigations and brings that experience to her provider clients. Karin assists organizations by understanding their coding and documentation opportunities and helping them through staff mentoring, provider education and improvement of their revenue capture processes and outcomes. Her well-rounded experience and solid understanding of the revenue cycle allow her to quickly and competently match clinical and business needs with effective and creative solutions.
