Wipfli LLP announced that Jeff Johnson, a healthcare industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, has been named the managing partner of the firm’s Spokane office. In this role, Johnson will be responsible for continuing to build the practice in the Spokane office and helping develop the resources in the market.

“Jeff brings a wealth of experience in the health care industry to the Spokane office,” said Rick Dreher, managing partner of Wipfli LLP. “His knowledge of the health care industry and dedication to exceptional client service make him an excellent choice to lead this office within our firm.”

Johnson joined the firm in 1994 and was admitted to the partnership in 2005. He worked for a number of years in Wisconsin and Minnesota before moving to Spokane this month. In his most recent role as a health care partner, he has provided consulting, strategic, and financial solutions to hospitals, medical practices, and other health care providers.

Prior to joining Wipfli, Johnson worked with a nationally recognized Midwest medical center where he was responsible for Medicare and other third-party reimbursement, financial reporting requirements, and other related issues. In that position, he was instrumental in the integration of clinical and hospital ancillary service departments by creating financial planning models that assessed the strategic financial cost and benefit analysis.

A certified public accountant, Johnson is active in professional associations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the national Medical Group Management Association, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), the National Rural Health Association, the National Association of Rural Health Clinics, and the National CPA Health Care Advisor Association—a national network of CPAs providing services to physicians. Jeff also serves on two national rural health committees addressing the needs of rural providers and Critical Access Hospitals. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Iowa State University.

As one of the leading providers of audit, tax and consulting services to health care entities across the country, Wipfli’s professionals offer customized services to help clients. From helping transform care delivery to facility and capital planning services, Wipfli’s team of seasoned professionals has helped health care entities succeed for over 80 years.
