Due to the firm’s leadership in and dedication to serving the manufacturing and distribution industry, Wipfli is a proud sponsor of and presenter at the 4th annual Manufacturing Advantage Conference: Sustaining Profitability: People, Process and Planet. The conference, hosted by the Northwest Wisconsin Manufacturing Outreach Center (NWMOC) and its partners, UW-Stout and Chippewa Valley, Nicolet Area, Northcentral, Western, and Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Colleges, will be held May 24, 2010 on the UW-Stout campus in Menomonie, WI.  This is an outstanding opportunity for manufacturers to discover valuable tools and information to achieve and sustain profitability, including methods surrounding the people within their organization, the processes they practice on the plant floor and throughout the company, and opportunities for sustainability practices that improve their bottom line.

Wipfli’s Deborah Marshall, Human Resources Consultant, will be presenting “Working with Emotional Intelligence” at the conference. Deb’s presentation will focus on the powerful concepts and skills associated with emotional intelligence, influence and accountability. Deb will look at the case for workforce employees at all levels, on the plant floor and throughout the organization, being able to learn these skills, the tremendous positive impact they can have on the organization, and what organizations can do to promote an emotionally intelligent workforce.

With 25+ years of human resource management experience in both industry and consulting roles, Deb assists a wide variety of clients and industries throughout the upper Midwest with their “people” concerns. She has a very practical approach to HR issues and has consulted extensively on leadership and organization development, compensation at all levels, the performance management process, executive selection and employee relations.
