As of May 31, 2011, Howard Gesbeck will be retiring from the partnership of Wipfli LLP. On behalf of all of the partners and associates, I want to thank Howard for all of his achievements working with the clients he has graciously and dutifully served. Howard is a unique talent. For those fortunate enough to have attended a Wipfli training led by Howard, you saw firsthand not only his deep knowledge, but more importantly the care and commitment he shared for the organizations Wipfli serves. Our trainers, consultants, and audit and tax professionals at Wipfli are well prepared and excited to carry on the legacy that Howard established. I personally wish Howard could stay forever and, at the same time, understand that it is time for Howard to finally achieve his goal of "no more time sheets!"

Howard will be providing training at our Annual Management Conference this July in Las Vegas and, we hope, will continue to participate in the future. For those planning to join us in Las Vegas this year, our Tuesday night "Evening Networking Event" will include a celebration of Howard's achievements, and I hope many of you will come prepared to share stories about working with Howard. More information about this event will be coming out soon.

With more than forty years of experience as an auditor, consultant, and trainer, Howard has a passion for nonprofits that began with his first job out of college and continued to grow from there. A nationally recognized trainer and presenter for grant-funded programs, Howard has been an industry leader in educating, assisting, and helping organizations with being in compliance, saving money, and utilizing their funds in the best way possible. Since 1990, he has presented hundreds of seminars to more than 40,000 participants. His dedication to his clients, the nonprofit and government industry, and his colleagues is unparalleled.

Howard and his wife Pam are looking forward to their new adventures together. I wish them the best on their new journey.

Best regards,

Steve Lipton, Partner, Wipfli LLP
