Karen Monfre, partner in charge of Wipfli LLP’s Business Valuation and Transaction Support Services team, possesses expertise in business valuations and assists clients in acquiring a business or in the sale of their business. Her time is spent exclusively doing business valuation, litigation support, merger and acquisition, and related engagements. Due to her loyal client following, Karen is highly sought after for her experience and forthright consultation services.

Business valuations are performed for purposes of SFAS 141/142, gifting, estate planning, divorce, shareholder buyout, or management planning. Acquisition and sale assistance includes consultation from the value-analysis stage through finding targeted buyers or sellers, due diligence, negotiation, and closing. She also performs business valuations, lost damages analysis, and other services for litigation-related engagements.

Karen is a certified public accountant accredited in business valuations and certified in financial forensics. She is also accredited by the American Society of Appraisers as a senior appraiser. Karen has been working exclusively in the valuation, corporate finance, and litigation support field since 1994. Prior to 1994, beginning in 1987, her work included performing financial audits, corporate tax returns, internal control reviews, budgeting, and business planning.

Professional Organizations and Activities
Karen is an active member in an array of professional organizations including both the American and Wisconsin Institutes of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA/WICPA). She is on the Board of Directors for the Greater Green Bay YMCA, the Great Lakes Asset Corporation, Quality Insulators, Inc., Asbestos Removal, Inc., the UW-Madison Alumni Club of Brown County, and the Wisconsin Alumni Association.
