Wipfli associates volunteer for thousands of hours on Community Day

Wipfli, one of the top 20 accounting and consulting firms in the U.S., will once again be donating thousands of hours to local charities and nonprofits on its annual Community Day in September.

Each year, the firm’s more than 2,300 associates step away from their desks to volunteer in the communities where they live and work. Wipfli has more than 45 offices throughout the U.S.

“Giving back to our communities is a fundamental part of the Wipfli culture,” said Kurt Gresens, managing partner. “We create lasting, positive impact not only by supporting our clients and each other, but also by embracing community service to make a difference and impact generations to come.”

The firm expanded this year’s Community Day from a single day to anytime between Sept. 9 and 27.

“As part of Wipfli’s service-oriented culture, we encourage our associates to pursue their own passions and provide them with the flexibility to take an active role in their communities,” said Maureen Pistone, chief human resources officer. “Many of them are proud members of nonprofit boards, regularly volunteer at organizations and donate to those in need.”

Since 2005, Wipfli has donated 47,750+ hours to local charities and nonprofits.
