Monday, March 2, 2020

Wipfli, one of the top 20 accounting and consulting firms in the United States, announced today that Chicago-based digital consulting firm Punchkick Interactive (Punchkick) has joined the firm effective March 1.

Punchkick’s team of engineers and designers will become part of Wipfli Digital – an expanded suite of digital and technology services that include strategy, experience, process and security.

“We’ve been quite impressed with Punchkick’s track record and technical expertise in delivering custom software development services to businesses seeking creative ways to better connect to their customers,” said Kurt Gresens, Wipfli’s managing partner. “Punchkick’s leader Zak Dabbas and his talented team are a great addition to our Wipfli Digital team, which has been helping emerging to mid-sized businesses use technology and data to make meaningful decisions and achieve greater results.”

Since 2006, Punchkick’s team of experienced mobile strategists, designers and developers has focused on designing and developing world-class mobile apps and websites for some of the world’s noteworthy brands. Punchkick has also been named to Crain's “Best Places to Work” in Chicago as well as Built in Chicago's “Best Places to Work.”

“We’re thrilled that Punchkick is joining forces with Wipfli. As part of Wipfli Digital, we’ll be able to better serve and drive impactful results for our mid-market clients who often stand to benefit the most from digital innovation but are largely under-served,” said Zak Dabbas, Punchkick co-founder and CEO. “With this combination, we’ll also be able to offer our clients the flexibility and approachability of a boutique firm with the resources and expertise of a large consultancy.”

As the result of this change, Wipfli Digital will now offer the following expanded service offerings to the firm’s clients:

  • Mobile application and software development
  • Data analytics and customer insights
  • Platforms that enhance customer experience
  • eCommerce, sales and marketing

Following the effective date, the firm will have more than 2,600 associates in 50 offices.
