TCPA compliance checklist
- Train all telephone agents on their compliance responsibilities before engaging with customers.
- Only call consumers between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. based on the consumer’s location.
- Scrub telephone numbers against the National Do Not Call Registry when no exemption applies.
- Provide required caller identification, including agent name, company name and contact information.
- Honor all Do Not Call requests promptly and maintain a centralized list with the date each request was received.
- Use autodialers or prerecorded messages for marketing only with prior express written consent.
- Maintain a process to honor revocation of consent for informational calls and texts involving regulated technology.
- Ensure predictive dialer abandonment rates do not exceed 3% over a 30-day period for each campaign.
- Include an automated opt-out mechanism in prerecorded messages and abandonment messages.
- Monitor and enforce compliance across internal teams and third-party vendors.
