James Loran, CPA
Manager, Tribal Practices
James Loran is a manager in Wipfli’s tribal practice who oversees many tribal government, tribal casino, and other Native American organizations’ accounting and audit preparation services. As a contract chief financial officer (CFO) for tribal organizations, he guides and mentors a diverse staff who bring their own ideas, years of experience, and varying degrees of proficiency.
Working with tribal councils, boards of directors, and executive leadership teams, James helps develop goals into realities as he oversees the financial components of their business and strategic planning. In each instance, the overarching objective is to promote economic development by more effectively providing some essential public good — education, housing, public works, and medical care.
