Legislation passed and PPP eligibility expanded for entities with legal gaming revenue

Apr 24, 2020
By: Grant Eve

With the recently published interim final rule from the Small Business Administration (SBA), the SBA clarified that businesses with legal gaming revenue are eligible for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

Previously, tribal gaming entities were ineligible for the CARES Act’s incredibly popular program, which ran out of its $349 billion funding in less than two weeks. It was just refunded with $310 billion with the passage of the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act. This next round of funding is expected to diminish quickly as well.
