State Tax Alert: WI Fast Forward Training Grant Initiative

Jun 20, 2017
By: Craig A. Cookle, Linda J. Feirn

Wisconsin Fast Forward Grant

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Revenue has announced Wisconsin Fast Forward Grants for employers training existing or newly hired employees. These grant programs opened on June 9, 2017.

Successful business owners know that employee training is essential, and has a strong impact on employee retention. These grants can bolster your training budget, and depending on the size and type of your company, potentially match your training investment dollar for dollar.  Award amounts range from $5,000 - $400,000.

Does your company qualify?

While this current grant program applies to construction and small businesses, recent grants have also applied to manufacturers and health sciences, health care, and related occupations. These grant programs are usually done twice a year, so you may want to watch for the notices of new targeted industries to determine if your company qualifies.

Time is limited, grant applications must be submitted by June 30, 2017.

Wipfli can help.
