Nonprofit report reveals new leadership concerns for 2021
Tuesday, March 30, 2021
What’s keeping nonprofit leaders up at night? In a new Nonprofit Priorities Benchmark Report, nonprofit leaders named their top concerns for 2021. At the top of the list:
- Employee engagement/burnout
- Fundraising
- Recruitment/workforce
The Nonprofit Priorities Benchmark 2021 Report is based on survey responses from hundreds of nonprofit leaders, collected online in January 2021. The survey was distributed and analyzed by Wipfli, a top 20 consulting and accounting firm. This is Wipfli’s fourth annual report on nonprofit priorities and concerns.
Over the years, workforce issues have steadily climbed the ranking. Even before COVID-19 radically changed the workplace, nonprofits were struggling to fill a talent gap left by retiring Baby Boomers. Switching to remote work situations — or closing entirely for periods of time — heightened workplace challenges surrounding culture, engagement and morale.
The survey covered financial concerns, plus leadership and management development. Access the new report for additional data — and for resources to help nonprofits overcome their most pressing challenges.
