The Challenge

Muckleshoot Casino Resort’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool wasn’t easy to grow with. It really needed a maintenance-free, cloud-based ERP to help it manage expansion. Muckleshoot was about to announce plans for an 18-story, 400-room luxury hotel and a 20,000 square-foot event center. Usability, productivity and flexibility became must-haves for timely financial management.

The Solution

Muckleshoot chose CasinoEdge, a casino-specific version of Sage Intacct, as its new ERP. Wipfli helped implement and customize the software, leaning on its deep understanding of tribal law, industry standards, licensing and sovereignty. Wipfli worked collaboratively to design an ideal future state, navigate a challenging data conversion, and go live — all within an aggressive timeline.

The results

The new ERP allowed Muckleshoot to become a nearly paperless organization. It uses 450 fewer cases of paper a month — which saves the organization money while making data more secure, timely and accessible. Through a web portal, finance staff can see real-time data, drill down to the invoice level, and create and modify budgets on the fly. As real-time information flows through the system, reporting and analytics become more robust. Now, the finance team spends less time bookkeeping and more time analyzing and planning with the data.
