Why attend?
Most tribal government operations have a perpetual commitment to the development and achievement of annual goals and objectives. Unfortunately, unplanned events and extraordinary circumstances like those created by COVID-19 can derail even the best plan, forcing organizations to quickly adapt and implement change to operations, staffing and the services they offer.
At no other time in recent history has there been more value in understanding the application of strategic planning, the possible redesign of the organization to enable strategic directives and how managing those changes puts tribal leaders in a better position to implement their strategies and adapt to the unexpected.
Description
This webinar will focus on the foundational components of strategic planning concepts, organization design approaches to address both strategic as well as unplanned changes and how to manage change in today’s workplace. We will also focus on how COVID-19 has changed tribal government operations and what we have seen tribes contend with.
Learning objectives:
- Overview of strategic planning approaches and agility in strategy.
- Organizational design concepts and changes commonly considered in the industry.
- Effective and efficient management of changes, especially organization-wide change with impact to different groups of stakeholders (tribal government and its various departments, casino operations, and employees across both).
Who should attend?
This course is designed for tribal leaders and managers, but it can be beneficial to a wide variety of tribal government personnel. Some other positions that will benefit are executive leadership, operational leaders, departmental managers, finance department, talent and culture management and most any other cross-functional leadership function.
