OMB Single Audit Update, GASB 87 Leases, and GASB 84 Fiduciary Activities
In the OMB Single Audit Update, you will get an overview of Uniform Guidance, requirements for Single Audits under Uniform Guidance, and general overview of Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, along with the latest 2017 Uniform Guidance updates.
Our GASB 87 Leases and GASB 84 Fiduciary Activities will include an overview of new GASB pronouncements that will have a significant impact on accounting for leases and the reporting of fiduciary activities, including updates to GASB guidance on fiduciary component units.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand general audit and compliance requirements under Uniform Guidance.
- Understand the changes and updates applicable to the 2017 Uniform Guidance.
- Know the requirements for accounting for leases under GASB 87 along with the reporting requirements.
- Understand the changes regarding fiduciary activities as clarified in GASB 84.
Introduction and Overview of GASB 34 and Fund Accounting
This session is an introduction to and overview of governmental accounting and reporting under GASB 34 including overview of government-wide financial statements, component unit reporting, and fund statements.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the basic accounting differences in government-wide financial statements.
- Obtain a general understanding of fund account principles.
- Learn the latest updates in proposed changes related to the GASB reporting model.

REGISTRATION FEE
- Early-bird rate: $299 per person if registered by February 22, 2018
- Regular rate: $399 per person if registered after February 22, 2018
Registration fees include:
- Up to 6 CPE credits in accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. CPE credits are granted based on a 50-minute hour.
- Training workbook.
- Reference materials (any PowerPoint presentations and/or additional references) available for download.
- Refreshment breaks.
Cancellation Policy
Substitutions may be made at any time. All cancellations must be confirmed by Wipfli-JOSEPH EVE at least 10 days prior to the event date in writing by email, letter or fax. Cancellations occurring less than 10 days from the event date will be charged a $100 processing fee. Paid registrants will receive a tuition credit minus applicable processing fees. Full tuition will be charged for any registrant who does not show up for the event and has not confirmed their cancellation prior to the start of the event. Wipfli-JOSEPH EVE is not responsible for non-refundable airline tickets and other expenses.
