Microsoft recognizes Wipfli in annual U.S. award on social impact

When you’ve grown from eight individuals to over 85,000 volunteers in less than a decade, innovation becomes a do-or-die necessity.

That’s where Team Rubicon, a disaster relief organization, was when they turned to Wipfli for help.

Partnering with Microsoft, we were able to develop a volunteer management system that has helped Team Rubicon transform their operations to get volunteers and equipment where they need to be and better measure their dollar-for-dollar impact.

As a result, we were named Microsoft’s US Partner Award Winner – Partner for Social Impact. We were selected for the top honor this year from a field of more than 100,000 companies for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

The volunteer management system we helped build enables Team Rubicon to more effectively leverage the skills of military veteran volunteers to help communities prepare for and respond to natural disasters.

It helps Team Rubicon’s leaders see which volunteers are available at any given time and more efficiently deploy those volunteers to where they are needed. It also helps them manage operations, training, equipment, donors and more.

This social impact award complements the dedication of our nonprofit and government industry, which works with organizations to imagine how far they can go and helps increase their community impact by leveraging our services — including strategy, talent, technology, compliance, outsourcing, process improvement and more.

Wipfli will be recognized officially at the Microsoft Inspire Conference in Las Vegas on July 18, 2019, the same week of our nonprofit industry’s 20th Annual National Training Conference.
