Wipfli managing partner Rick Dreher named one of Inside Public Accounting’s Most Admired Peers
Monday, October 5, 2015
Wipfli LLP (Wipfli), one of the nation’s leading professional services firms, announced today that Rick Dreher, managing partner and chairman, has been selected as one of 2015’s Most Admired Peers in the accounting profession by Inside Public Accounting (IPA). This is the second year that Dreher has been selected for this award.
Each year, INSIDE Public Accounting asks firms from across the nation to name one peer whom they admire in the profession. Dreher was among the five accounting profession leaders named most frequently by their colleagues.
“Most Admired Peers typically share similar character traits,” says Kelly Platt, principal of the Platt Group and managing editor of INSIDE Public Accounting. “They’re great leaders, but not just within their own firms – they give back to the profession. This year’s Most Admired Peers can often be found sharing their knowledge and mentoring others. They believe in paying it forward.”
As Wipfli’s managing partner, Dreher oversees the vision and strategy, leadership, growth, and overall performance of the firm. Under his leadership, Wipfli has grown significantly, rising to its current position among the top accounting firms in the United States.
Dreher is also a council member for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dreher holds a master of taxation degree and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
