Wipfli Growth Leader Brian Blaha appointed to Illinois CPA Society’s Board of Directors

Wipfli LLP (Wipfli), one of the top 20 accounting and consulting firms in the United States, announced today that Brian Blaha, Wipfli’s Growth Leader, has been appointed to the Illinois CPA Society’s Board of Directors. The Illinois CPA Society’s board leads and advises the society and includes a range of accomplished leaders who represent various accounting segments. Blaha will serve on the organization’s board for a three-year term starting on April 1, 2017.

“Being appointed to the Illinois CPA Society’s Board of Directors is quite an honor. I look forward to leveraging my deep experience in the industry to help the society and to support our profession,” said Blaha.

A 20-year veteran of Wipfli, Blaha is the Growth Partner on the firm’s Executive Team where he is responsible for leading and executing the firm’s growth strategy to drive profitable growth for the firm by aligning market needs with profitable services and solutions. Prior to this role, Blaha served as the firm’s Chicago market leader, served on the firm’s Board of Directors, and devoted significant time during his career to helping financial institutions to succeed.

A certified public accountant, Blaha is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He is also past president and a member of the Community Banking Advisory Network (CBAN) and a member of the Financial Managers Society (FMS). In addition, Blaha is the past school board president and currently serves on the finance council for St. Michael Parish in Wheaton, Illinois.

Blaha graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of business administration degree from St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin
