FEMA Public Assistance for healthcare COVID-19 costs

Apr 07, 2020

On March 13, 2020, President Trump issued an emergency declaration for all 50 states, US territories and tribal governments pursuant to the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (the ”Stafford Act”). As of April 1, 2020, over 40 of those states also received a major disaster declaration. Upon issuing either an emergency declaration or a major disaster declaration, the Stafford Act authorizes the President to provide federal disaster assistance under the auspices of FEMA, and hospitals are eligible to apply for Public Assistance through FEMA. This webinar will review what types of entities can apply for FEMA grants related to COVID-19, what types of costs may be funded with FEMA grants, and what is the process for applying for FEMA grants.
