Wipfli earns Registered Provider Organization authorization, further demonstrating ability to prepare DoD suppliers for CMMC

Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Wipfli is proud to announce the firm has been certified as a Registered Provider Organization (RPO).

Earlier this year, the Department of Defense (DoD) enacted new rules to expand cybersecurity requirements within its supply chain. These new rules established the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), which businesses must achieve in order to be awarded new contracts by the DoD.

RPOs can advise DoD suppliers on how to prepare for their CMMC assessment and achieve the certification. RPOs are trained in CMMC methodology, must pass an organizational background check, and are bound by a professional code of conduct.

“As specialists in the manufacturing and construction industries, Wipfli serves clients in the DoD supply chain,” says Jeff Olejnik, Principal and leader of Wipfli’s cybersecurity practice. “Our cybersecurity and technology consulting services help our clients become ready for CMMC. Plus, our managed IT and security services simplify the ongoing compliance process and keep our clients resilient. The RPO designation recognizes Wipfli’s expertise in delivering CMMC solutions.”

As an RPO, Wipfli’s CMMC services include helping defense contractors and suppliers enable practices and processes necessary to help resist cybersecurity attacks and bolster resiliency, as well as positioning clients to prove the maturity of the cybersecurity controls necessary to secure DoD contracts in the future.
