This session is designed specifically for board members of Head Start/Early Head Start (HS/EHS) organizations. The HS/EHS requirements for boards are like no others. Program and board members need to know what their role is so their agency doesn’t get into trouble. Over the past few years, much more scrutiny has been placed on boards, and too many members are not fully aware. This is a must-attend session for any board member of an HS/EHS grantee.
- Understand the required functions a board must fulfill according to the Head Start Act of 2007.
- Review the governance section’s new performance standards.
- Understand the assessments that are now required by the Office of Head Start.
