As you know, we’re committed to serving the dealer industry, and we’ve been growing our team of industry professionals. Recently, I had a conversation with the newest member of our team, and I thought it would be great to share it with you.

We are happy to welcome Abby Liebergen, Senior Tax Manager, to our industry team.

Q: Abby, welcome to Wipfli! Tell us a little about yourself.

A: Thank you, Steve! I have been in a public accounting tax practice focusing on automotive dealerships since 2009. I have a passion for family businesses and helping clients work through the intricacies that occur in that business setting. I also enjoy presenting tax updates at various statewide speaking venues. I live in Freedom, Wisconsin with my husband, Dan, and we have two young sons who keep us very busy.

Q: What made you decide to join the Wipfli dealership industry team?

A: I was drawn to Wipfli’s dealership team because of their extensive knowledge, industry expertise and specialization. They have an extensive reach and array of automotive clients, and overall, they are a great group of individuals. Their personal focus on client relationships and client advisory services made Wipfli a clear choice of where I wanted to continue and expand my career.

Q: What experience do you bring to the Wipfli dealership industry team?

A: I have extensive experience in year-end accounting, tax planning and tax compliance related specifically to the automotive industry. I have worked with automotive, powersport and implement dealerships for the past 12 years and developed a streamlined process to calculate year-end LIFO inventory reserve adjustments to best suit my clients. I look forward to contributing to the latest insights and opportunities for our current and prospective clients.
